Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi by the Sereti Wilderness Safaris driver-guide. At approximately 6:30 AM, depart for the scenic drive to Marangu Gate, the main southeastern entrance to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park.
The drive passes through beautiful Chagga villages, coffee farms, banana plantations, and open views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the countryside. Arrive at Marangu Gate around 8:30 AM, where park registration formalities are completed and you meet your professional mountain guide for a short hiking briefing.
Soon after, begin your ascent through Kilimanjaro’s dense rainforest. The path is wide and gradually climbing, making it comfortable yet adventurous. As you walk deeper into the forest, enjoy sightings of giant trees, colorful flowers, moss-covered branches, black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and numerous forest birds.
