  • Day 2: Kigali to Musanze

    Embark on a scenic drive from Kigali to Musanze, a town located near the Volcanoes National Park. Along the way, stop at the King's Palace Museum to learn about Rwandan traditions and culture. After having lunch in Musanze, check in at your hotel. You can then choose to visit the Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village for a traditional dance performance and a glimpse into local life.

  • Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

    An early morning departure will take you to the Volcanoes National Park. There, you will meet your gorilla trekking group and hike through the forest to locate a gorilla family. Spend an hour observing and photographing the gorillas before returning to your hotel for some rest and relaxation.

  • Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking

    Start your day with a morning trek to see the golden monkeys in their natural habitat. Return to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. If you're interested, you can visit the nearby Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund for a chance to learn about gorilla conservation efforts.

  • Day 5: Musanze to Kibuye

    Take a scenic drive to Kibuye, a picturesque town located on the shores of Lake Kivu. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring the town or relaxing by the lake.

  • Day 6: Lake Kivu

    Explore Lake Kivu by taking a boat ride to some of the nearby islands. Afterwards, visit the hot springs at the nearby town of Rubavu. Return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.

  • Day 7: Kibuye to Nyungwe Forest National Park

    Take a drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, a beautiful rainforest located in southwestern Rwanda. After checking in at your hotel and having lunch, consider visiting the nearby tea plantations for a chance to learn about tea production.

  • Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest

    Depart early for chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest. Spend a few hours observing and photographing the chimpanzees before returning to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. You can choose to take a canopy walk to explore the forest from above.

  • Day 9: Nyungwe Forest to Kigali

  • Day 11 – 13: Zanzibar

    The Zanzibar Archipelago is a group of islands in the Indian Ocean off Tanzania's coast. Centuries ago, the island was an important area for spice trade, first with the Arab world since the eleventh century, before falling under the rule of Arab sultans who reigned over the islands for several years, assimilating with the local Swahili.
