Saadani is arguably the only reserve in East Africa to be able to properly offer safari and beach in the same location, though neither is particularly strong. It is located on the mainland coast just north of Dar es Salaam.

One of Tanzania’s most stunning parks, Saadani, is located along the coast of the Indian Ocean.
The park, which was formerly known as the Saadani game reserve, was designated as a national park in 2005.
Saadani has a lot of marine life and a lot of different kinds of wild animals because it is the only national park that contains both marine and terrestrial habitats.
In this coastal Park, it is not unusual to see wild animals on the beach.
The only Tanzanian park to preserve the mangrove forest is Saadani, one of the few remaining locations where the critically endangered Green Sea Turtles breed.
This unique park is home to a rare species of black and white colobus monkeys that live in the coastal forest.
Visitors to this location will have the chance to go on a game drive through the park’s savannah area and enjoy the stunning, pristine beach that is located there.
