The itinerary includes gorilla trekking in both Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, giving you a chance to observe these majestic primates in their natural habitat. You will also go golden monkey trekking, relax by Lake Kivu in Rwanda, and explore the city of Kampala in Uganda. This itinerary is customizable and can be adjusted to suit your preferences and budget.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city or relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure.
After breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a journey that takes about 8-9 hours. You will have lunch en route and arrive in the late afternoon. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Today is the highlight of your trip as you go gorilla trekking in Bwindi. You will set off early in the morning and hike through the dense forest in search of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will spend an hour with them before returning to your lodge.
After breakfast, drive to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park, a journey that takes about 4-5 hours. You will cross the border into Rwanda and arrive in the afternoon. Relax and enjoy the stunning views of the volcanic landscape.
Today, you will go gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. The trek can take between 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will spend an hour with them before returning to your lodge.
Today, you will go golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park. The golden monkeys are an endangered species that can only be found in the Virunga Mountains. The trek is shorter than gorilla trekking and can take between 1-3 hours.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Kivu, Rwanda's largest lake. You will spend the day relaxing by the lake or taking a boat ride to explore the islands. Overnight at a hotel on the lake shore.
After breakfast, drive back to Uganda and spend the night in Kampala. You can do some last-minute shopping or explore the city.
Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
